How to Create Self-signed Certificate using ikeyman - tool For WebSphere® Application Server - WAS


Step 1: Open ikeyman-tool from installed location of IHS.

   cd F:\IBM_INSTALL\IBMIHS\HTTPServer\bin    { In my case }


 
Step 2: Run ikeyman - tool

Step 3: Click on NEW - to create a new key database file.

Step 4: Select CMS - Key database type.

Step 5: File Name: testkey.kdb  { in my case - Note Filename must be .kdb }

Step 6: Browse for location were you have to save Certificates and click OK.

Step 7: Password Prompt - give Password , expiration time and stash the Password to a file.
        and click OK

where stash Password - Will create a new file testkey.sth

Screenshot 8 : Password will save in .sth file.




Step 8: Click on Personal Certificates

Step 9: Click on New self-Signed.

Step 10: Provide all this details and Click OK,
        Key label.

key size
Signature Algo
Common Name
Oraganization
Oraganization Unit
Locality
state
Zipcode
Country
Validity Period
email
ip Add
DNS Name

Step 11: You will see the Created Certificate

Step 14: We have created New - Self Signed Certificate, which is saved in .kdb file
